'Poppy Field' original circular bas relief hanging in powder blue with hessian ribbon for hanging.
This piece is a handmade, one off, original piece of artwork measuring 26cm in diameter and 1cm in depth.
The piece is made using Poppies and grasses picked from the fields near to our home. These have been carefully arranged onto a piece of flat, wet clay. Once arranged in the perfect composition the flowers are rolled into the clay. When these are removed the flowers leave behing their unique impression. A mould is then placed onto the clay before pouring in the plaster. Once dried the clay is removed to reveal all of the beautiful detail that the plaster has picked up from the flower mould.
This piece has then been painted in a gorgeous powder blue/ grey which enhances the detail further and has hessian ribbon added for hanging although this can be taken off and the piece can just be positioned on a shelf/ drawers etc. It will arrive beautifully wrapped and packaged and a gift note can be added.
Clean by lightly dusting with a soft dry cloth. Keep away from moisture.
